Join Us for the Launch of Age-Friendly Jacksonville (AFJ) Community Listening Session Meetings

The Council on Elder Affairs is excited to invite you to the launch of our series of Age-Friendly Jacksonville (AFJ) Community Listening Session Meetings. These sessions will effectively replace our General Council Meetings over the next couple of months.

The purpose of these meetings is multi-faceted:
  • Collect information from a diverse cross-section of the community to inform the planning and development of the Age-Friendly Jacksonville Initiative (AFJ).
  • Explore local aging issues and gain insights into the community's perspectives and desires for improving livability.
  • Gather feedback from traditionally hard-to-reach populations.
  • Provide an opportunity for older adults to connect with their Council Members, as well as receive information related to older adults in their respective districts.
  • Foster networking among COEA members and community outreach.
