The Jacksonville City Council is composed of nineteen members who are elected for a four-year term and serve as part-time legislators. In May of each year, the Council elects a President and Vice President to serve one-year terms beginning the first of July. The nineteen members are not all elected in the same manner; some are elected from districts, and others are elected at large.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Jacksonville Downtown Investment Authority (“DIA”) is hosting an in-person meeting of the Walk of Fame Committee (“Committee”) on Monday, May 19th at 4:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville Public Library-Main Library Downtown. The purpose of the meeting is to review the list of nominees submitted by Committee members and to vote on the final list of inaugural inductees for the Jacksonville Walk of Fame.
