Since 2023, across the district, new opportunities are taking root. Through 440 affordable housing units, 257 accessible ramps added, and 670 lighting improvements, families are finding greater stability, neighborhoods are becoming safer, and residents are seeing investments that strengthen the places they call home. These improvements help create the conditions for growth—not just in buildings and infrastructure, but in the lives of the people who live here. 

That growth can also be seen in the community spaces that bring residents together. Improvements at Oceanway Park, Oceanway Center, Dinsmore Center, and Riverview Park have helped create places where friendships are formed, memories are made, and community life continues to thrive. These spaces serve as gathering places where the next generation can play, learn, and grow while honoring the traditions that have shaped the Northside for decades. 

The future is also being built by local entrepreneurs and small business owners. Through the success of 57 Jacksonville Small and Emerging Businesses, residents are creating jobs, pursuing opportunities, and investing back into their own communities. Their determination reflects the spirit of the Northside—a belief that growth is strongest when it begins at home. 

These investments represent more than progress; they represent possibility. The possibility of a family finding a place to call home, a child discovering new opportunities close to where they live, or a business owner building something that will serve their community for years to come. Together, they reflect a Northside that continues to grow, evolve, and create opportunities for generations ahead.
