Promises Kept

Since 2023, we have focused on creating places that bring people together. 

Across our city, we are expanding access to parks, waterfront destinations, recreational amenities, and community gathering spaces. From the Emerald Trail and Riverfront Plaza to Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park, these investments are creating new opportunities for residents to walk, bike, play, exercise, and connect with one another.

We are also strengthening the cultural spaces that help tell Jacksonville’s story. Investments in public art, historic preservation, museums, theaters, and community events are celebrating the people, places, and traditions that make our city unique. New public art installations, cultural programming, and improvements to community landmarks are helping residents experience Jacksonville in new ways while preserving the stories that shaped our communities. 

At the same time, we are revitalizing public spaces that support everyday life. Whether it's a family spending an afternoon at a neighborhood park, friends gathering along the riverfront, children exploring a playground, or residents attending a local event, these investments are helping create vibrant places where people want to spend time. 

These improvements are about more than parks and public spaces—they are about building a Jacksonville where every neighborhood has places to gather, every family has opportunities to connect, and every resident can take pride in the city we are creating together.
