Since 2023, across the district, more residents are finding stability and opportunity through the addition and support of 72 affordable housing units, including developments such as Capri Villas Apartments. These investments help provide more than housing—they create foundations for families to build their futures, pursue new opportunities, and remain connected to the communities they cherish.
The heart of Northwest Jacksonville can also be found in its parks, community centers, and gathering spaces. Investments at Clanzel T. Brown Pool, Lewis Cobb Community Center, Panama Park, Ribault River Preserve, and parks throughout the district have helped revitalize places where neighbors come together, children create lasting memories, and community traditions continue to thrive. These spaces are more than amenities; they are part of the shared fabric that connects generations.
At the same time, 324 lighting improvements, 246 accessible curb ramps built, support for 47 Jacksonville Small and Emerging Businesses have helped strengthen both safety and economic opportunity throughout the district. Local entrepreneurs are creating jobs, investing in their neighborhoods, and carrying forward a tradition of determination and community leadership that has long defined Northwest Jacksonville.
These investments represent more than progress—they reflect the enduring strength of a community that continues to move forward while honoring its past. They tell a story of resilience, opportunity, and hope, where families are building brighter futures, neighborhoods are growing stronger, and the legacy of Northwest Jacksonville continues to inspire the next generation.
