Board Overview

• Legislative Authority: Executive Order 2024-02
• Total Members: 11
• Board Purpose: The Mayor makes 11 appointments. The African American community, which comprises approximately 30% of the City’s population, desires a forum to communicate with and advise the City about matters impacting the African American community. The purpose of the Mayor’s African American Advisory Board is to provide a means for the City to obtain information and guidance concerning this community.
• Meeting Schedule: 2^nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Ed Ball Building, 1^st Floor Hearing Room. (Meeting times and locations are subject to change.)
