911 Emergency Addressing Advisory Committee

Who is Apart of the Committee?

The 911 Emergency Addressing Advisory Committee is composed of one representative each from the Public Works Department, the 911 Coordinators Office, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Communications, JEA, the Building Inspection Division, the Municipal Code and Compliance Division, the Property Appraisers Office, Information Technologies Department, and the United States Postal Service.


Purpose of the Committee

The purpose of the Committee is to identify and correct addressing and street naming deficiencies within the City of Jacksonville in order to assist and promote efficiency in emergency response system, to review and revise the City's street naming and addressing policies, and to support a community outreach program to educate citizens concerning their address and how it relates to 9-1-1 Emergency Services.
