Join us for the second annual "Wills For Heroes" on Thursday, September 11.  Have your Will and Advanced Directives drafted for free if you meet the qualifications.   This is from 12:00 PM unitl 4:00 PM inside City Hall.  Introductory remarks by Lawrence "Larry" Di Rita, a USN Veteran and former assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.  Appointments are required and space is limited.  You will need to scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up. 

September is Suicide Awareness Month.  At this event, you will be able to explore more than 80 valuable resources from the community and Veteran Affairs all while enjoying a free catered lunch.  There will be guest speakers that will provide life-saving education through humor and personal stories.   This will provide essential mental health first aid by demonstrating what an open, supportive conversatin looks like. 

This is happening on Thursday, September 11 at the Double Tree Riverfront by Hilton.  
Local companies will be looking to fill 100s of jobs in a variety of industries including entry-level, skilled and seasoned professional opportunities, blue and white collar positions, full and part-time opportunities, various shifts, seasonal work available as well as various leadership positions. 

This event occurs the 2nd Thursday of the month.  For Active Duty Military Families with Military ID.

Military Affairs and Veterans Department VSOs will be at the Charles Webb Westconnett Regional Library the 2nd Thursday of every month to answer any questions on Veteran Claims and Benefits.  

Three Riveers Legal Services, Inc has partnered with the City of Jacksonville's Military Affairs & Veterans Department to host a series of Ask-A-Lawyer events for Veterans.

The Tri-Base Career Expo presented by Fleet and Family Support Centers at NS Mayport, NAS Jacksonville, and NSB Kings Bay will be on Wednesday, September 3rd, from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the UNF Adam W. Herbert University Center.
