JaxParks Directory & Activities Guide

As the largest park system in America, JaxParks maintains over 400 parks and recreational spaces offering you the opportunity for a wide range of exciting and memorable experiences. In addition to traditional neighborhood and regional parks, our park spaces include 22 Community Centers conveniently located throughout the city. You can explore the mystery and beauty of nature at any of our 15 Environmental Parks. Pursue your personal fitness goals by working out at one of several JaxParks Fitness Centers and Gymnasiums or swimming at one of our more than 30 Swimming Pools. JaxParks is also home to seven Specialty Parks, each boasting its own unique attractions including hiking and biking trails, a dedicated skateboarding facility, camping areas, waterfront amenities and even museums. It is our sincere hope that you and your family find the time to take full advantage of everything JaxParks has to offer!

JaxParks Summer Programs

JaxParks offers a variety of activities for the summer for ages 6 through 17. Options include Rec N' Roll and Teen Nights. Activities recreational sports, teen programs, games, arts & crafts, financial literacy, and more..

Rec N' Roll

Rec N’ Roll is a Monday – Friday, 10:30am – 6:30pm drop-in program for youth 6 – 17. This urban parks initiative provides free, structured and non-structured activities in 12 parks from 10:30 am—6:30 pm beginning Monday, June 10th through Friday, August 2nd. Young children should be accompanied by a teenager or guardian. No registration required.

Teen Nights

Teen Nights is an exciting and motivating program for middle and high school students on Friday and Saturday, 6pm – 10pm. This is a drop-in program for teens 13 – 17, in 3 parks, June 21^st – August 10^th at no cost. No entry after 9pm. Participants will register on-site with a picture ID.

This program provides impact programming for teens in an effort to reduce crime and offer alternative solutions for youth during the evenings. They will enjoy a game truck, snacks, Lazer tag, dancing with DJ's, and lessons on financial literacy, and more.

Summer Enrichment Camp

Keep your kids active and engaged wih a variety of activities including STEM themed enrichment, sports, arts and crafs, games and field trips. Registration opens May 7th. To register visit: jaxparks.coj.net. Space is limited, open to youth 6 – 12.

Camp fee: $95 per session (includes $20 nonrefundable deposit)
Extended Day: Additional $20 per session. Covers 7am - 8am mornings and 5pm - 6pm evenings

Tennis Camp

Campers will participate based on age and skill level. Ten (10) and Under Tennis for ages 6 - 11 utilizes age-appropriate equipment and is played on a smaller sized court. Advanced Beginners for ages 12 - 14 emphasizes serving techniques and game play situations.

Ages: 6 - 14
Fees: $20 per camper; per weekly session
Registration: Begins Monday, May 13, 2024 at 9:00 am. You must register in person at the tennis center of your choice or online here.

Soccer & Futsal Fun Summer Camp

Join JaxParks for a new summer camp, Soccer and Futsal! Each one-week session will focus on individual and team building skills. Kids will learn technical ball skills and implement their knowledge through soccer/futsal fundamentals such as passing and goal scoring. Small group activities and interactive games will help develop new friendships and build team spirit.
