The Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD) proudly hosts the MAVD Food Farmacy on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 390 Mayport Road. This program supports active-duty military families by providing access to nutritious food resources. In collaboration with BEAM
and Feeding Northeast Florida, the Food Farmacy is available to active-duty military families with a valid military ID.
The Military Affairs and Veterans Department will have a state certified VSO at the Pablo Creek Regional Library on the third Wednesday of every month to answer questions on Veteran claims and benefits.
A 25 minute consultation with a Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA) Veteran Services Attorney offering legal guidance and additional resources at the MAVD office. Appointments are requested.

The City of Jacksonville's Military Affairs and Veterans Department along with Wounded Warrior Project will hold our annual Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 25, at the Veterans Memorial Wall. Pre-Ceremony starts at 8:00 AM and the ceremony begins at 8:30 AM. This is a free event with free parking in Lot P.
