As a Cat Handling Volunteer, you play a crucial role in making our cats feel safe, loved, and ready for their forever homes. Your work ensures their environment is pristine and their social needs are met daily.
 Core Responsibilities:

• Habitat Maintenance: You will assist in cleaning and preparing cat condos for both long-term residents and new arrivals. A clean, organized space is the first step in reducing stress for our feline friends.

• Community Room Care: Help maintain our community cat rooms by cleaning surfaces and ensuring essential supplies—like litter, bedding, and toys—are fully stocked and ready for use.

• Nutrition & Enrichment: Assist with scheduled feedings and provide daily mental stimulation. This includes preparing food and distributing enrichment activities to keep our cats engaged and active.

• Socialization: Spend quality time with the cats to help them acclimate to human interaction. Whether it’s gentle petting or interactive play, your presence helps shy cats build confidence and outgoing cats stay happy.

• Adoption Advocacy: Act as a matchmaker by speaking with potential adopters to help them find a cat that fits their lifestyle. You will also help promote our residents by highlighting their unique personalities and quirks to visitors.
