Humane Education at Animal Care and Protective Services
Humane education is a field that builds compassion toward animals and people by reinforcing core concepts like empathy, respect, and community. It helps students of any age make socially responsible choices and tackle real-world problems, and at ACPS, we’re proud to have a program that focuses on teaching members of our community how to care for animals and understand their needs as well as how to be empathetic and respectful to humans and animals alike.
Through hands-on learning, age-appropriate programming, and community partnerships, we help the next generation become responsible pet owners and animal advocates. The presence of animals while working and learning has been proven to improve the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of humans, too—talk about a win/win!
