All Animals Currently at ACPS
The pets shown here were found as strays or in Duval County or surrendered to us by their owners and brought to Animal Care & Protective Services (ACPS). If you are missing a pet, review the listings below carefully. If you believe one of these animals is yours, visit ACPS as soon as possible with valid photo identification and proof of ownership, such as veterinary records, microchip registration, or photos. We're open every day from 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM (holiday hours may differ). Stray animals are held for a 6-day stray hold period before becoming eligible for adoption. Pets may receive adoption interest during this time but will not leave the shelter's care until the stray hold has ended. Some animals may already have adoption holds or may no longer be available. In certain cases, a found pet may be cared for in the finder’s home during the stray hold. Those animals are not physically housed at ACPS and are not available for adoption during that period. The names listed were assigned to animals upon intake.
