ACPS PARTNERS WITH REGIONAL SHELTERS FOR MEGA ADOPTION EVENT

The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) is joining 11 other Northeast Florida shelters for the annual “Petco Love Mega Adoption Event” this weekend. Hundreds of dogs and cats will be available for adoption at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29 from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM each day.

CITY ISSUES AIR QUALITY ADVISORY AS HIGH LEVELS OF OZONE ARE PROJECTED

The City of Jacksonville’s Office of Administrative Services is issuing an air quality advisory today, due to elevated levels of ozone.  Warm and dry weather conditions could contribute to the elevated ozone concentrations. Elevated ozone levels are forecast for the next couple of days.

City of Jacksonville Launches Flag Retirement Drop Box Ahead of Memorial Day Weekend

In honor of Memorial Day, and in continued service to the city's military and veteran community, the City of Jacksonville's Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD) has installed a U.S. Flag Retirement Drop Box outside of Suite 175 in the City Hall Annex. The new box offers citizens a respectful and convenient way to dispose of old or worn American flags in accordance with flag retirement protocols.
