In observance of Labor Day, the following City government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025.

The City of Jacksonville’s Keep Jacksonville Beautiful invites residents to participate in the 2025 International Coastal Cleanup event.  This event, which will provide volunteers with an opportunity to help beautify the city’s shorelines, is part of the Ocean Conservancy’s Annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC).  
 

Earlier today, the City of Jacksonville unveiled “Express Lane Permitting,” the latest update to its civil plan review and permitting process.

Based on the latest information from the National Weather Service, conditions will meet the criteria for the city to activate Cooling Centers today, Friday August 15, 2025.

Earlier today, Mayor Deegan launched a new City of Jacksonville initiative, called the “State of Jax.”
 

Mayor Deegan received a letter from Florida CFO Ingoglia today after Florida DOGE refused to complete a simple form to provide information on the quantity and names of people who will need access to our secure financial system during their on-site visit on August 7-8.

“The City of Jacksonville has been cooperating with Florida DOGE since their first request in March and will continue to do so.
 

The City of Jacksonville is pleased to announce that S&P Global and Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KRBA) have assigned two more top tier “AA” ratings for our 2025 special revenue bonds. Earlier this month, Fitch Ratings affirmed an “AA+” rating.

Mayor Donna Deegan joined five-time Olympic gold medalist and hometown hero Ryan Murphy today at Blue Cypress Pool in Arlington to kick off the City of Jacksonville’s summer swim safety initiative. The event highlighted the critical importance of swimming education for both children and adults, especially during the height of the swimming season.
