Walk for Senior Wellness

Seniors enjoy a scenic walk while celebrating their fitness and health! Attendees participate in healthy, active programs such as stretching and dancing before the walk. Registered participants will receive senior swag along with free lunch! Completion of the registration form is required to participate. Registration ends Friday, March 13th. Fish-A-Thon

Seniors enjoy a day of fishing, dancing and dining at Hanna Park. Fishing tournament awards are given for largest fish, smallest fish, most fish, prettiest fish and ugliest fish. This event also includes lawn games, a picnic table decorating contest, and a live DJ and dance floor.

The Council on Elder Affairs, in collaboration with the City of Jacksonville is excited to host its annual distinguished luncheon dedicated to honoring the extraordinary contributions of our city’s older adults.
Join us as we celebrate the achievements of two exceptional seniors — one male and one female — who have demonstrated outstanding service to the community and/or older adults during 2024.
We will also proudly recognize a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, honoring a remarkable individual whose dedication to serving the community and older adults has made a lasting impact over the years.
