Ending the HIV Epidemic the time is now

The goal of Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) is to reach 75% reduction in new HIV infections by 2025 and at least 90% reduction by 2030.

  • MMU team and Medical Peer Navigators will assist to reach clients lost to care and notify them of MMU locations to ease the challenge of accessing services.  The MMU team will then work with the clients to get them back in care.
  • Reduce wait time for HIV medical care appointments through scheduling on the MMU for initial HIV medical appointment.
  • MMU will also work with the pharmacy to gather data on medications not picked up and if it is within the high-risk zip codes that the MMU is in that day, clients will be contacted to pick up their Meds on the MMU
  • Mobile Medical Unit targets zip codes of highest risk based on epi data.  MMU team and Medical Peer Navigators will assist to reach clients lost to care and notify them of MMU locations to ease the challenge of accessing services.  The MMU team will then work with the clients to get them back in care.

Diagnose all people with HIV as early as possible treat people with HIV rappidly and effectivley to reach sustained viral supression prevent new HIV transmissions by using proven interventions respond quickly to potential HIV outbreaks to get needed prevention and treatment services to people who need them
