The Northeast Florida Community Veterans Engagement Board (NEFL-CVEB) was created as a community action group focused on solving complex issues impacting veterans in Northeast Florida.  Their mission is “In partnership with the Veterans Administration and stakeholders from Duval, Nassau, Clay, St. Johns and Baker Counties, the NEFL CVEB will collaborate to develop and propose solutions on veteran’s issues to the Veterans Administration to improve veteran quality of life in Northeast Florida.” The NEFL-CVEB is composed of Northeast Florida veteran advocates as outlined below:

  • Steve Spickelmier Chair, Duval County Veterans Council
  • Kristle Helmuth Platoon Leader, The Mission Continues
  • Len Loving CEO, Five Star Veteran Center
  • Navy Captain (ret) Daniel Bean Veteran Leader
  • Dan Schnock Soldier Ride Director, Wounded Warrior Project
  • Virginia Hall Director, Community Engagement, St. Vincent’s Healthcare
  • Tony D’Aleo President, Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1046

They will be hosting their first public meeting to solicit input on strategic Northeast Florida Veterans Administration and veterans’ issues.
