Garbage, Recycling and Yard Waste Collection
Thanksgiving Day collections will move to Saturday, November 29.
The Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed Thursday and Friday but will reopen on Saturday, November 29 for normal hours. All Solid Waste administrative offices will reopen Monday, December 1.
630-CITY Customer Service Center
The office will be closed Thursday, November 27 through 8 a.m. Monday, December 1.

Animal Care & Protective Services (ACPS)
ACPS will be open for adoptions:
- 12–4 p.m. on Thursday, November 27
- 12–6 p.m. on Friday, November 28
Normal hours resume Saturday, November 29.
Jacksonville Public Library
All library locations will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26 and remain closed through Friday, November 28. Regular hours resume Saturday, November 29.
Tennis Centers
All tennis centers will be closed. Hard courts and pickleball courts will remain open for unsupervised open play.
Huguenot Memorial Park
- Open 6 a.m.–6 p.m.; admissions end at 5 p.m.
- Park may close temporarily due to high tides, capacity, or unsafe conditions.
- During closures, no day visitors or shelter reservations will be admitted.
Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park
- Open 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Early-bird and annual passes required 6–8 a.m.
- Day-use visitors and campers can enter 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- All non-campers must exit by 6 p.m.
- Camping reservations close at 6 p.m. daily; campers with prepaid reservations may enter until 9 p.m.
- All campers must check in by 9 p.m. and have tents/RVs set up by 9:30 p.m.
