The Treasury Division oversees the City’s cash, investment, pension, and debt strategies. The division prudently manages all associated activities and contributes to the City’s strategic financial plan, budgeting process, and financial operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently managing the City’s cash flow requirements to meet liquidity needs while safely maximizing investment returns at the appropriate level of risk.
  • Administration of the City’s debt program including new borrowings, refinancings, reporting and compliance while minimizing debt related costs over time.
  • Supervising the administration of the City’s General Employees and Corrections Officers Retirement System.
  • Maintaining an Investor Relations (Disclaimer) portal.
