This meeting will focus on the proposed Land Use Amendment (L-6068-25C) and PUD Rezoning (Morse Avenue PUD) for the property at the northwest corner of Morse Avenue and Seaboard Avenue. The event offers residents a valuable opportunity to learn more about the proposed development, engage directly with Councilman Johnson and the project team, and share their feedback and concerns.

Constituents are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and participate in shaping the future of their community.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Lincoln Villa Community Center, 7866 New Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219.

This event commemorates the life and legacy of Johnnie Mae Chappell, whose tragic death in 1964 became a symbol of the fight for civil rights in Jacksonville. The unveiling follows the passage of Ordinance 2024-697, demonstrating the city's commitment to acknowledging its history and advancing justice.
