Today, we received confirmation of the presence of multiple measles cases in Duval County. In coordination with the Florida Department of Health in Duval County (DOH-Duval), the City of Jacksonville would like to remind citizens who would like to receive immunizations that they can visit DOH-Duval’s locations Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 515 West 6th Street and 3225 University Boulevard South. Residents can either walk in or call 904-253-1130 to make an appointment.

Mayor Deegan to Host New Round of Town Halls

Mayor Donna Deegan will host a new round of Town Halls to discuss her administration’s efforts to make housing and health care more affordable, shore up underserved neighborhoods, and improve infrastructure across the city.

City Council

The City Council is the legislative body of the City of Jacksonville's consolidated government and is responsible for making the laws that govern our way of life.  These 19 Council Members, who are elected to four-year terms and serve as part-time legislators, have almost unlimited power to enact legislation in order to provide for the needs of our community. For fair representation throughout the community, the city is divided into 14 districts of nearly equal population and each of these districts elects a single council member.  The other five council members represent the entire community 'at large.'
