Residential Appraiser
Residential Appraiser - Residential Appraisal Division

Residential Appraisers perform mass appraisal of residential properties using statistical analysis for tax roll preparation, group properties into neighborhoods to facilitate analysis and mass appraisal, complete the valuation of new plats, cutouts or property splits, and support/defend assessments at Value Adjustment Board hearings and in court proceedings. 

 
 
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
 
·         Knowledge of the proper application of all three recognized approaches to value and ability to apply them to arrive at just values that can be supported and defended.
·         Must have sufficient presentation skills to communicate clearly and concisely concerning valuations at hearings and other legal proceedings.
·         Must have a working knowledge of legal descriptions, metes and bounds, and use maps to locate property.
·         Skill in the operation of modern office equipment such as calculator, copier, computer, and in making accurate mathematical calculations.
·         Must have a good working knowledge of custom software applications, WORD, EXCEL, Outlook and Internet applications.
·         Must be able to analyze complex and diverse information, arrive at timely conclusions and solve problems.
·         Valid Florida driver’s license.
·         College degree (preferred) or college level course work directly related.
·         A minimum of two years of prior government field or residential appraisal experience and/or real estate appraisal or sales experience in the private sector.

 
 
Salary commensurate with experience.
