September 9, 2010 - Fallen Heroes Patriot Day Memorial Breakfast

On September 9, 2010, our Fallen Heroes Patriot Day Memorial Breakfast was held at Brighton Bay, Resort Style Retirement Living Facility in Jacksonville, FL. This annual event is hosted by the Trustees of the Police and Fire Pension Fund and was sponsored this year by Brighton Bay.

Mayor John Peyton, Sheriff John Rutherford, Rob Smith, Former State Attorney and State Senator and now candidate for Lt. Governor spoke briefly to our many distinguished guests. Our special guest speaker was James Casey, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Jacksonville Field Office.

Also attending were Mike Weinstein, State Representative; Jim Overton, Duval County Property Appraiser; Jerry Holland, Supervisor of Elections; Mike Hogan, Tax Collector; Kerri Stewart, Chief Administration Officer; Dick Cohee, Executive Director of the Police and Fire Pension Fund; Pension Trustee Nat Glover and Former Sheriff; Pension Advisory Committee members and many Fire/Rescue and Police officials.

Several residents from the Brighton Bay Facility and their staff were included.

Special thanks to Brian Gottal, Executive Director of Brighton Bay, for sponsoring this Memorial Breakfast at his beautiful resort style retirement living facility.
