Retired Police Captain William F. Madray

February 16, 2010 - Retired Police Captain William F. Madray passed away at the age of 84. Bill served our Country in the US Navy prior to joining the Duval County Patrol on October 15, 1951. He served as a Patrolman until promoted to Lieutenant on June 6, 1958. On June 1, 1965, he was in the only group of individuals promoted to the rank of Captain on the Duval County Patrol. Following Consolidation, he served in Traffic and Administrative assignments prior to his retirement in January, 1976.
