Mayor Lenny Curry, joined by representatives from the Sports and Entertainment Office, will host a press conference to provide information for the 2016 Jacksonville Jazz Festival, as well as unveil the 2016 commemorative poster. Information will include confirmed performers, dates, times, location and other festival activities.

With the recent relaunch of Jax Journey, an initiative focused on creating safer communities by supporting programs that enhance crime prevention and intervention efforts, Mayor Curry is seeking to engage citizens and leaders who share his commitment in a discussion on how to create brighter futures for youth. The first meeting of this series is Feb. 11, 6 p.m. at FSCJ North Campus. Sheriff Mike Williams and Superintendent Nikolai Vitti are expected to join him.
