The State of Florida Office of Supplier Diversity will host a new regional event at the University of North Florida for Florida’s small business owners called the Supplier Diversity Exchange. This event includes training, workshops and presentations by professionals from the Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Center, and local Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) business owners, as well as representatives from state, local and regional government entities. Small business owners will be able to network and learn directly from state and local government buyers.

News Conference: Jacksonville Secures Nearly $1.86 Million in State Funding

Mayor Lenny Curry’s key priorities, including public safety, economic development and support for neighborhoods, just earned a vote of confidence following the state Legislature’s recent approval of nearly $1.86 million in appropriations funding. Mayor Curry, and State and City officials will host a news conference to discuss what these appropriations mean for our city and its future. This is the first time in six years the City has secured appropriations funds from the State.

Mayor Lenny Curry is leading the pack with his sights on a healthier Jacksonville. As he continues to lead by example in his efforts to live an active and healthy lifestyle, the mayor, to be joined by his wife and son, will compete in the 39th annual Gate River Run 15K. Mayor Curry is the first sitting mayor to participate in the annual event. He will deliver opening remarks at 8:15 a.m. at the starting line.
