Last week, Mayor Alvin Brown announced a Major League Soccer presence in Jacksonville through a three-year agreement with the Philadelphia Union to play annual exhibition matches starting Feb. 15.

Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) will open its doors to the public in an after-hours event to support the new photography book “Better Together” produced by the Friends of Jacksonville Animals (FOJA). The group is one of the vital nonprofit agencies that provides crucial animal support and services, such as heartworm treatment for dogs, on behalf of ACPS.
