Jacksonville Public Library, in partnership with The Haskell Company and Acuity Design Group, invites Brentwood residents and Duval County community members to a Community Information Session on Tuesday, July 15, to learn more about the exciting next chapter of the Brentwood Branch Library.

The open house will be held at the Brentwood Branch, 3725 N. Pearl St., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Two identical presentations will be offered at 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., giving attendees flexibility to participate. Members of the project team will be available throughout the evening to answer questions and hear input from community members. 

“This is more than a renovation. It’s a reimagining of how the library can serve as a place of connection, learning, and opportunity for generations to come,” said a spokesperson from Acuity Design Group. “We want to make sure the voices of the Brentwood community are front and center in every step of this process.”

The new Brentwood Branch Library is poised to become a modern, welcoming hub that reflects the unique character and needs of the neighborhood it serves. Community involvement is a key part of the planning process.

"This investment marks a tremendous new chapter for the Brentwood Branch Library," said Mayor Donna Deegan. "It reflects our efforts to improve literacy for all ages, bring the community together, and build a brighter future for Brentwood. It also reflects our commitment to listening and incorporating neighborhood input."

Attendees will hear updates on the current development timeline, findings from a recent facilities assessment, and next steps in the planning process.
