The vibrant, upbeat video was shot in several iconic locations at various City of Jacksonville parks, and blends music, message, and movement to showcase the power of community collaboration in keeping Jacksonville clean, beautiful, and welcoming. With the help of Mal Jones’ signature energy and lyrical creativity, the students join Mayor Deegan in encouraging residents to do their part by properly disposing of trash, recycling responsibly, and taking pride in their neighborhoods.
“Keeping Jacksonville clean is about more than just picking up litter, it’s about showing love for our city,” said Mayor Donna Deegan. “This campaign is fun, creative, and speaks directly to our community’s heart. I’m so proud of our students and local artists for helping us spread the message: ‘Keep Jax Cute, Don’t Pollute!”
The Keep Jax Cute, Don’t Pollute campaign is part of the City’s broader initiative to combat litter and blight across Jacksonville, engaging residents, schools, and businesses in building a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant city. Residents can join the campaign by forming a team to compete in the Jax Litter League, where local cleanup teams that collect the most trash receive prizes. The current campaign is in partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the winning “litter league” team will receive a box of Jaguars swag and an elite game day experience.
“Music has the power to connect and motivate,” said Mal Jones. “Partnering with the City and these amazing students to promote a cleaner Jacksonville is something I’m proud to be part of. We’re showing that keeping our city beautiful can be cool, creative, and community driven.”
Residents can watch and share the “Keep Jax Cute, Don’t Pollute” video now on the City’s official website and social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter).
