Christopher Neal Loy, Jr. joined the Government Operations team at the Office of General Counsel in 2026, bringing extensive experience in real estate and public service. He began his legal career in Denver, Colorado, representing lenders, developers, and investors in a broad range of real estate matters, including commercial and residential leasing, acquisitions, and financing across the state. He later served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Colorado Department of Law, representing the Colorado Department of Agriculture in matters affecting farmers and ranchers statewide. In 2024, Chris returned to his home state of Florida to join a statewide law firm, where he focused on establishing and representing special districts, such as community development districts and stewardship districts, while also advising private and public clients on construction matters and serving as issuer’s counsel in public finance transactions. Outside the office, Chris competes in triathlons nationwide, plays golf, surfs, and enjoys exploring northeast Florida with his wife and their wheaten terrier, Sophie.
