In observance of Presidents’ Day, the following City government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Last night, the Jacksonville City Council passed Ordinances 2025-0900 and 2026-0036. Together, they deliver on Mayor Deegan’s commitment to make good on the broken promises of consolidation; clean up litter and blight; continue funding critical public safety needs; and maintain fiscal discipline with an eye toward the future.

The U.S. Civil Rights Trail is expanding in 2026, with the addition of historic sites in Virginia, Louisiana, Tennessee and Jacksonville, Florida, offering travelers new destinations to explore pivotal stories, places, and voices that shaped the nation’s civil rights movement.
