City of Jacksonville to Unveil Riverfront Music Garden and Reopen Northbank Riverwalk

The City of Jacksonville’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, Public Works and Downtown Investment Authority invite the community and members of the media to attend a special ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of the Riverfront Music Garden and the reopening of the Northbank Riverwalk.

CITY OF JACKSONVILLE IS CLOSELY MONITORING AIR QUALITY IMPACTED BY WILDFIRES IN SURROUNDING COUNTIES

Wildfires burning in surrounding counties are contributing smoke that is elevating particulate concentrations in the air. Elevated particulate levels are forecast for the next couple of days and may be unhealthy for sensitive groups.

JACKSONVILLE FIRE AND RESCUE DEPARTMENT ISSUES BURN BAN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The City of Jacksonville and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department are issuing a burn ban effective immediately due to dangerous wildfire conditions across the region. The ban prohibits all open burning within the Duval County limits until further notice. Director/Fire Chief Percy Golden II is invoking his authority under Jacksonville Municipal Code Section 420.202(e) to prohibit all bonfires and open burning in Duval County effective immediately. Current weather conditions present an elevated risk to life and property.

2026 JACKSONVILLE JAZZ FESTIVAL RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WITH A STAR-STUDDED LINEUP

The 2026 Jacksonville Jazz Festival will return to Downtown Jacksonville over Memorial Day weekend, May 21- 24, this year. With an impressive lineup of award-winning performers, the festival will bring music lovers from across the nation to Jacksonville. In light of all the exciting developments downtown and throughout the city, this year’s free jazz festival will be held at Ford on Bay, 288 E Bay Street. The Ford on Bay Stage, presented by Publix Super Markets, features free performances, with Premium Experiences presented by Jacksonville Aviation Authority.
