Retirement Eligibility 

General Employee Pension Plan (GEPP)
As a retired individual who was previously with the City of Jacksonville, you are entitled to participate in the City's health insurance plan.  If you meet the Pension Eligiblity guiidelines to continue benefits upon retiring. 
  • Age 55 with 20 years of service
  • Age 65 with 5 years of service
  • Any Age with 30 years of service
Early Retirement Eligiblity
  • Age 50 with 20 years of service. Benefit Percentage is reduced 1/2 % for each month less than age 55
  • Any age with 25 years of service at an accrual rate of 2%

General Employee Defined Contribution (DC Retiree)
An individual who was previously with the City of Jacksonville, you are entitled to participate in the City's health insurance plan.  If you meet the Pension Eligiblity guiidelines to continue benefits upon retiring. 
  • Age 50 with 20 years of service
  • Age 65 with 5 years of service
  • Any age with 25 years of service
