Reggie Gaffney, Jr.

Council Member Reggie Gaffney Jr. will host a noticed public meeting on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lynwood Roberts Room at Jacksonville City Hall, 117 W. Duval Street, Jacksonville, Florida.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for community stakeholders to participate in the ongoing discussion and offer professional and community perspectives as the proposed legislation continues to take shape.

After initial meetings and consulting with several city department leaders and the City’s legal counsel, Council Member Gaffney Jr. would like to hear from providers and organizations serving children with autism and other developmental disabilities; developers; HOAs; CPACs; representatives from the Water Management District; retention pond and water-safety advocates; neighborhood representatives; families; and other interested community stakeholders. This meeting is open to the public.
