Today, the City of Jacksonville launched a Budget Transparency Dashboard. This groundbreaking initiative is aimed at fostering greater transparency, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making in the city’s budget preparation process.

Mayor Donna Deegan will host a series of six town halls to discuss her budget priorities and update citizens on a range of city projects and initiatives. These events are free and open to the public and do not require preregistration.

For over three decades, this beloved event has celebrated Jacksonville's diversity, fostering11`` unity and providing a unique opportunity to explore the rich traditions and cultures that shape our community. 

The National Weather Service Jacksonville has expanded the Winter Storm Warning to include all of Duval County. There will be freezing rain and a wintry mix of precipitation occurring approximately after 7pm this evening into early Wednesday morning – with icy conditions potentially lasting until 12pm. Precipitation is predicted to impact the entire county with the highest chances occurring downtown Westward. The Cold Weather and Freeze Warning Advisories show wind chill temperatures in the upper teens to low 20s. 

 The National Weather Service Jacksonville has issued a Freeze Warning for Monday night. They have high confidence of an extended duration of dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills tonight through Thursday. Nightly freezes and dangerous wind chills will remain through Saturday.

It reminds us not only of the struggles, courage, and faith of those who paved the way for the progress we enjoy today, but also challenges us to strive for a future where every person feels seen, valued, and included.

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the following City government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025
