Originally developed in 1953 by the Greater Loretto Improvement Association, Burnett Park has been an asset to Mandarin residents for 50 years. Thanks in large part to the efforts of Mr. Joe Burnett and Mr. Jeff Davis, Burnett Park has evolved to meet the needs of the community over the last half century. Today, Burnett Park continues to be a community asset boasting several lighted baseball, softball, tennis, and basketball courts in addition to a community center, concession stand, bleachers, and ample parking. A new playscape was installed in 2021. The acquisition of the 4.61 acreage in 1994 lead to the construction of two new baseball diamonds and restroom facilities.
