Volunteering with JaxParks

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with JaxParks! We have a wide range of opportunities in parks throughout the city for a variety of interests and levels of time-commitment. Whether it is cleaning up a park, coaching a sports team, teaching a class in a community center, or planting trees, volunteers play a huge role in providing a safe and enjoyable environment.

Explore below for information on the various types of volunteer opportunities and how to get involved. We thank you again for your interest in becoming a JaxParks Volunteer.

Group Service Projects

JaxParks offers many volunteer opportunities for one-day service projects for local businesses, schools, churches, scouts and other organized groups. Your service project may include planting trees, trail maintenance, shoreline clean-ups, or other park improvements. These events not only contribute to making JaxParks the beautiful destinations that they are, but also serve as opportunities for team building for your group. To schedule a service project for your group, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at adoptapark@coj.net.

Eagle Scout/Gold Award Projects

JaxParks has benefitted from numerous Eagle Scout and Gold Award Projects over the years. To inquire about potential project opportunities, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at adoptapark@coj.net.

Adopt a Park

The Adopt a Park Program allows for a longer-term relationship between a group or individual and a park of their choosing. The adoption period is for two years with the ability to renew, and the program expects at least 6 cleanups per year. Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to explore if this option is right for you and your favorite park! Please email adoptapark@coj.net.
