About Manson Bull Felder Park

Manson “Bull” Felder Park is located in Fullers Subdivision, north of the east side of downtown Jacksonville, near the Old City Cemetery. Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville, Inc. (HabiJax) platted the subdivision in 1994, and designated the park site as a private recreation area. Established in 1988, HabiJax is the local and also the largest U.S. affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that builds affordable houses for people in need, without regard to race or religion. Due to the efforts of City Council Member Pat Lockett-Felder, the City accepted the donation of the site from HabiJax in 2002 and also a donation of funding for some of the playground equipment from the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency. Construction of the small park, which is named for the deceased husband of the Council Member, was completed around the end of 2002.
