Pixie Larizza, Artist, Holistic Counselor, Certified Color Therapist and Relaxation Expert
After spending 12 years in corporate America, Pixie experienced the world of massage therapy and there was no turning back. She attended the Mandarin School of Chinese Medicine in 1989 and received her state licensing in 1990 and began her dream of owning her own business. During her massage career, Pixie specialized in Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy, Stress Management and Structural Integration. She taught a variety of classes for the Childbirth department and Wellness Center at St. Vincent’s hospital for 8 years. She has also taught classes at Baptist Medical Center at the Beaches and FCCJ (now FSCJ) and now continues her teaching at UNF’s LEARN Jacksonville program.
To expand her role in our community, she joined the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2004. In 2006 Pixie was selected as Small Business Leader of the Year for the Professional Women’s Council, where she also served as Vice President. In 2007 she became President of the Council and decided to expand her business contacts by joining Women Business Owners of North Florida (WBO). In 2008 she was awarded the Pioneer Award of the Year for the Women in Business Awards for her work in the field of Holistic Health and Wellness. She has served as Hospitality Chair, Programs Vice-Chair, Women in Business Awards Trade Show Chair and is the current President of WBO, 2011-2012.
