Who are we and what do we do?

  • Office with 18 Internal Auditors
  • Report directly to City Council (legislative branch) and work on requested projects
  • Conduct performance audits of the Consolidated City Government
    • City Departments (e.g., Fire and Rescue, Public Works, & Parks)
    • Constitutional Offices (e.g., JSO, Tax Collector, & Supervisor of Elections)
    • Independent Agencies (e.g., JEA, JTA, JAA, & JPA)
  • Review legislation prior to becoming law
  • Review the Mayor’s annual budget proposal

  • Starting salary of $58,000 (Higher depending on CPA eligibility and licensure status which can result in an automatic increase of 15% if licensed in Florida)
