You want to grow your groceries, but there are so many questions: Where should I put my garden? What should I grow and when? How much space does everything need? The Jacksonville Public Library is hosting a free class on how to take the first steps toward growing fruits and vegetables in your own back yard. Urban farmer and educator Nathan Ballentine (aka Man in Overalls) will be on hand to teach attendees how to grow food for self and neighbor in raised bed food gardens.

The job fair is Thursday, October 24, 2019 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The event will be held at Emmett Reed Community Center located at 1093 West 6^th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209. While this job fair is designed to assist those affected by the closing of these establishments, this job fair is open to the public.

It's been another busy week here in Jacksonville!

Mayor Lenny Curry worked with public works crews in Northwest Jacksonville today fixing sidewalks, highlighting $14 million dollars in this years budget for new sidewalk construction and maintenance.
