Mayor Deegan Presents Proposed Budget to City Council

Mayor Donna Deegan presented the proposed 2024-2025 budget to the Jacksonville City Council this morning. The proposal includes a $1.92 billion general fund budget and $489 million in the 2025 portion of the five-year Capital Improvement Plan, which is $1.95 billion in total from 2025-2029.

The City of Jacksonville’s Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD) has been awarded a three-year grant of $271,457 per year from the U.S. Department of Labor to support the Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP). The employment-focused program utilizes a case management approach to directly assist homeless veterans with access to a variety of local support services.
