Jacksonville to Honor Fallen Heroes at Annual Memorial Day Cerermony

May 25, 2017
Loved ones, veterans, service members and citizens will join together Monday to honor our fallen heroes at the City of Jacksonville’s annual Memorial Day observance. This year, four new names have been added to the almost 1700 on Jacksonville’s Veterans Memorial Wall that stands in honor of the service and sacrifice of U.S. Service Members who died while on active duty. The four servicemen, including Christopher Colafati, Zachary Debeau, Micki Nixon and Wade Wilkenson, will be recognized in a ceremony to include their families and keynote speakers, Mayor Lenny Curry and ADM William F. Moran, Vice Chief of Naval Operations. Free parking is available in Lot J (enter from Gator Bowl Boulevard on the stadium side) and Lot P (enter from Duval Street). Patriotic attire is suggested.
