CITY OF ARTISTS EXHIBITION CLOSING RECEPTION & AWARDS CEREMONY TO TAKE PLACE DURING NOVEMBER ARTWALK
The City of Jacksonville will host a closing reception and awards ceremony for City of Artists, an exhibition made possible through a grant from the National Arts Program, during November Artwalk on November 4.
The exhibition has been on display in the Main Library Gallery since mid-October. It features 164 visual arts pieces created by 91 City employees and their children and was created to celebrate their talent and creativity.
Each piece of art was judged by three Jacksonville-based visual artists: Jenny Hager, Erin Kendrick and Tony Smailagic. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including Best of Show.
The exhibition was curated by Jacksonville-based visual artist Cheryl McCain, with assistance from Cliff Buckley, Teresa Eichner and Heather Schatz, who are with the City, and installed by Kate Frey MacKinnon.
