Jacksonville Sports Franchises 

The Office of Sports & Entertainment works closely with local sports franchises. The City of Jacksonville is home to the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Minor League Baseball, Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League (NAL), American Basketball Association's (ABA) Jacksonville Giants, Jacksonville Axemen USA Rugby League, Jacksonville Breeze Legends Football League (LFL) and the Jacksonville Armada FC of the North American Soccer League (NASL).

Jacksonville Colleges & Universities 

University of North Florida http://www.unf.edu/ 
The campus is located 20 minutes from downtown Jacksonville. The UNF campus contains an aquatic center with a indoor heated pool and a diving well. There are large multipurpose fields and a baseball field. The basketball arena has a regulation size hardwood floor and seating for 5,800 spectators. The football field seats 400 spectators. The lighted softball field seats 250 spectators. There are 12 lighted tennis courts with seating for center court games. Volleyball courts, men's and women's locker rooms, a weight training room and equipment are also available.

The University campus is about 10 minutes from downtown Jacksonville. The beautiful tree covered campus is equipped with a regulation size gymnasium with a seating capacity of 1,000. Many large multipurpose fields and a lighted regulation size baseball field are also available. The baseball field seats 2,300 spectators. Other facilities include a 25 yard/23 meter pool and a 440 yard/400 meter asphalt track.

As the largest community college in the country, FSCJ has five locations in the Jacksonville area. The athletic facilities are located on two of the five campuses, both located near the downtown area. The baseball field will accommodate 500 spectators. There are cross-country trails located on campus as well as a softball field at the North Campus. The Olympic regulation meter track has eight lanes and pits for the long jump, triple jump and pole vault. The gymnasium at South Campus has a regulation size hardwood floor, with seating capacity of 2,500.

A strong supporter of academics, as well as sports, this college hosts men and women's track and field NAIA competitions. James W. Johnson Gymnasium is the home court for EWU's basketball team and has a seating capacity of 650. EWU is also home to larger multipurpose fields and a regulation size softball field.
