City Celebrates Re-Opening of Lincoln Villa Senior Center

Mayor Alvin Brown and Council Member Reginald Brown joined city officials and community stakeholders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the re-opening of the Lincoln Villa Senior Center.  The Center has been providing essential services and activities to seniors for more than 30years.  Renovations included improvements to the kitchen, bathroom, plumbing, interior and exterior security lighting, fencing, painting, ADA parking spaces, tree removal, grading , patio access, window relacement and a new Florida roon.  The cost to renovate the 23,000 square foot faciltity was $631,694.  Project funding came from the city's Community Development Block Grant ($514,008), Council Member Brown's Bond Funds ($101,000) and Public Works ($16,686).
