The purpose of this meeting is to discuss nominations for the Cultural Service Grant Program Committee.
The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD), in coordination with Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc. (TRLS) and Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps, will host its free monthly legal consultation for veterans and their families. Three Rivers Legal Services provides assistance with family Law (limited), social security/SSI, discharge review assistance, VA pensions, guardianship for disabled, unfair collections, last will and testament, and various other civil legal services. The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department and Three Rivers Legal Services are dedicated to helping veterans and their families with their legal needs. Notice is hereby given; that The Downtown Investment Authority and the Downtown Development Review Board will hold a Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Workshop to be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 beginning at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Lynwood Roberts Room – located at 117 West Duval Street, 1st Floor- City Hall, St. James Building, Jacksonville Florida 32202. The purpose of this meeting is to hear a presentation on and ask questions pertaining to an update of the downtown design standards and guidelines. Council Member Lori Boyer will serve as the presenter(s).
The City of Jacksonville is currently undertaking a food desert initiative to assist with finding potential public funding sources, analyzing food access for residents and creating a strategy for the City to increase the area’s access to fresh fruits, vegetables and meats.
In accordance with Ordinance 2005-361-E, all Standing Committee and Council Meetings scheduled from December 17, 2018, through December 28, 2018, have been suspended. The regularly scheduled Council meeting cycle will resume with Standing Committee meetings on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
