NOTICE is hereby given that the Renew Arlington Community Redevelopment Agency Board will meet Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., in City Council Chambers, City Hall at St. James located at 117 West Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. 
 

The Renew Arlington CRA Board will consider approval of the May 13, 2025, Meeting Minutes, consideration of year-end allocation of funds in Unallocated Plan Authorized Expenditures, and consideration of providing the Office of Economic Development (“OED”) to have the authority to apply the amended MCGP Guidelines retroactively to existing MCGP Agreements.  The Agency Boards may consider other matters that come before them.

Pack the Sack

Council Member Terrance Freeman hosting “Pack the Sack” Back to School Event

Saturday, August 9th, Jacksonville City Council Member Terrance Freeman along with members from the Jacksonville City Council and ALPHA Starz, Inc., in partnership with Walmart, will host “Pack the Sack III.”

This annual event aims to provide school supplies and backpacks to 6,000 Duval County students. Last year, the event successfully distributed over 7,500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies. After the Event all left over supplies was donated to ALPHA STARZ, INC for another Back 2 School Jamboree.

Additionally, to school supplies, this year’s event will feature vendors, free haircuts, and resource information for families and students.
