Earlier today, Mayor Deegan launched a new City of Jacksonville initiative, called the “State of Jax.”
 

Mayor Deegan received a letter from Florida CFO Ingoglia today after Florida DOGE refused to complete a simple form to provide information on the quantity and names of people who will need access to our secure financial system during their on-site visit on August 7-8.

“The City of Jacksonville has been cooperating with Florida DOGE since their first request in March and will continue to do so.
 

The City of Jacksonville is pleased to announce that S&P Global and Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KRBA) have assigned two more top tier “AA” ratings for our 2025 special revenue bonds. Earlier this month, Fitch Ratings affirmed an “AA+” rating.
 

Based on the latest information from the National Weather Service, conditions will meet the criteria for the city to activate Cooling Centers through Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
