The Senior Services Division administers community-wide social service programs serving older adults in Jacksonville/Duval County.

Mission Statement

To encourage and empower senior citizens to live active, independent lifestyles through social, educational and wellness programs.

RiverCity Seniors is the new monthly newsletter from the City of Jacksonville Senior Services Division designed to keep older adults, caregivers, and families informed about programs, activities, and resources across Jacksonville’s senior centers and programs.

Each issue highlights upcoming events, wellness tips, center activities, community resources, and important updates that empower seniors to stay active, connected, and engaged in the community. It’s a great way to stay up to date on social, educational, and health-focused opportunities available through Senior Services.

Senior Services Bid Whist Tournament  

Tuesday, September 15th 2 p.m. Register now: https://form.jotform.com/262323741647054

Tournament Details: 

  • The tournament starts at 2:00 p.m. Please arrive early
  • Gift cards will be awarded to the 1st through 4th place winners.
  • Gift card prizes will be awarded in $25 and $50 denominations
  • The tournament will consist of a preliminary round followed by playoffs.
  • Winners will be determined through the playoffs.

Registration Payment: 

  • Registration fee: $20 per team.
  • Payment can be made during check-in at registration.
  • Cash only — no checks or credit/debit cards or App payments (CashApp, Venmo, etc.,) will be accepted.
  • Advance payment is also available as follows:

A special initiative by the City of Jacksonville Senior Services Division to recognize and honor residents who reach the incredible milestone of 100 years of age.

Who Can Participate?

  • Jacksonville residents turning 100
